280SLC vs 315

Lorelei next to a car of the same age -- a BMW 315. 4 stroke 1.6 engine, so not really a fair comparison, but still... Thanks to parallax, Lorelei looks shorter in the second shot, but is probably about a foot or so longer.

Oh, and the 315 was not in the best of shape, with a bit of surface rust and all.

But I bet it's a fun car to drive and a bit more nippy at low speeds.

Mon 23/04/2007 21:11 23042007054 Had a very satisfying dinner tonight. The sushi was excellent for Singapore and good for Tokyo. Overall decently priced for the quality. Best of all the restaurant is very peaceful which made dinner that much more destressing. Very much recommended.

Ah, the joys of a N95. Camera on, USB in, hey presto blog post that has some vaguely interesting content which is overshadowed by the pictures in the background. Yes, to me pictures aren't really content, they're fluff. I know, I know, but I'm a dinosaur.

Oh, my room by the way. Notice how everything except for the computer (and the books) are Ikea. Much more Ikea is on the way in the next few months, alas. I am and always have been Ikea Boy

A view from my car-park. I like how Capital Tower looms threateningly over the viewer, with dark clouds gathering. Given the law firm and investment firm it houses, quite appropriate, actually. Also note how the CPF building looks subservient to Capital Tower.

I took Lorelei in to JB today to get a wax and polish, and parked at the hotel next to the car-wash was this nicely maintained Volvo 164. Not perfect -- there was some chipping on the chrome and a very minor bit of rust under the front bumper. But certainly nice enough for a wedding car.


Not quite sure what's going on with the Swedish connection recently. It must be the smell of new Ikea wood surrounding me.

Also, Lifeblog's upload capabilities suck eggs when trying to put more than one picture in a post.
